A doc is a page in your workspace. Put it in a folder or attach it to a board, write in it like any editor, and find it again with the same search that finds boards and items.
A plain editor that stays out of the way
Headings, lists, checklists, quotes, code blocks and links. Paste from another tool and the formatting that matters survives; the styling that does not gets stripped. The editor autosaves shortly after you stop typing, on blur and when you close the tab.
Docs are deliberately simple. There are no databases inside pages, no comments in the margin and no real-time cursors. If two people edit the same doc at once, the last save wins.

Where docs live
Docs appear in the sidebar alongside boards. Keep one in a folder with the boards it relates to, or attach it to a board so it opens from there. A doc attached to a private board follows that board's access.
Any workspace member can open a doc. Editing needs the same permission as editing a board's structure, so viewers and guests read but do not change.

Questions
Are docs on the Free plan?
Yes, with no limit on the number of docs.
Can two people edit a doc at the same time?
They can both open it, but there is no real-time co-editing. Each save replaces the page, so the last save wins. Keep simultaneous edits to items, which do sync live.
Can I embed a board or an item in a doc?
Not today. Paste the link to a board or item and it becomes a normal link.
Can guests read docs?
A board-only guest can open docs attached to boards they can reach, read-only. Docs in folders are for workspace members.
Can I export a doc?
There is no export button today. Select the text and copy it, or read it through the app.
